Each month Planet Russkij interviews a Russian person who is now living in Arkansas. September's interview is with Tatyana Podelnyuk of the Ukraine.
Name: Tatyana Podelnyuk.
Place of Birth: Odessa (located on the Black Sea).
Tatyana came to the United States in 2000.
Her family is still in Odessa.
Now she lives in Searcy with her son Marcus. He just entered the first grade.
Tatyana thinks that her English not too bad. She would like to have more practice.
Tatyana believe that life in Russia and life in America is as different as night and day. She said that perhaps the only thing that we do alike is eat and sleep.
Tatyana is happy to be in the United States.

There are many Russians living in Arkansas. Would you like a chance to get to meet some of them in the comfort of your dorm or living room? Thanks to this new addition to Planet Russkij, it is now possible. In this section of the website you will be introduced to a Russian or Russian-speaking person from many different communities in Arkansas. Dr. Marshall will present interviews with people who share information about their native land and how they ended up in Arkansas. Also, they will share some of their personal experiences living in the Natural State.

Planet Russkij is ruled by Dr. Todd Alden Marshall, professor of Russian and Slavic Linguistics at the University of Central Arkansas. An independent entity in the CornDancer consortium of planets, Planet Russkij is dedicated to the study and exploration of the Russian language, culture, and society.
