My Life IS a Multi-Cultural Logo. My parents have different ethnic & geographic backgrounds. They have made me who I am today, & they have instilled in me a love for culture & people.

My friends come from different places — they have different beliefs, different families, different skin tones, different traditions, & different goals in life. The paths I have taken in life have brought me to new people & experiences; if I were given the chance to go back and choose different paths, I wouldn’t.

My Multi-Cultural Logo is not a single picture. It is a collage of pictures of the people, places, & experiences that have defined my life & my own beliefs about culture & what it means to be multi-cultural.

My friends are Persians, Backwoods, Activists, Swimmers, Slavs, Blondes, Christians, Rappers, Politicos, Crown Chasers, and Vegetarians. I’ve come to understand different points of view through my friends, & they have impacted my life because they have opened my mind to different things. As a teacher, I will encourage my students to embrace the diversity that exists in various forms in all aspects of their lives. I hope to teach them by setting an example that embraces all people.
