Here's the final edition of the exam. Don't forget that we'll have a class review on Friday at our usual class time--9:00 a.m. in Irby 204. Your exam is 20% of your final grade. Tests and quizzes are 40%, homework is 20%, and participation and lab hours is 20%.
The exam is divided into three sections: Listening, Structure, and Reading. There are 10 listening questions; five sentences are dictation. I say the German and you write what I say in German. The other five questions are from a reading passage about a birthday party.
The structure section has five sections. Section one is five sentence in which you change the verbs to present perfect. Section two is 10 sentences in which you choose the correct form of the verb from two choices. These include present and present perfect. Section three is ten sentences in which you choose the correct form of sein or haben and write it in the blank. Section four is five sentences in which you use a question word to form a question about an underlined element in the sentence, and the last section is ten multiple choice questions about grammar points such as prepositions, nicht and kein, and correct forms for different cases.
There are two passages in the reading section. The first one is about a festival and has four true/false questions and the second section is about a tourist site and has six true/false questions.
