Chapter 11 Summary
Chapter 11 was about "language diversity". The fist aspect discussed was individual differences in language development. Then, there was the social class differences in language development. Next was a discussion about the nonstandard dialects including black English and Spanish-influenced English. The functional aspects of nonstandard dialects were brought to our attention next. And this is what chapter 11 consisted of.
